My name is Queenie, I immigrated to Birmingham in August, 2021.

When I was young, I was always feeling lonely and unhappy. My parents were busy at work and I often had quarrels with my siblings. Feeling in lack of love and care, I did not know the meaning and value of life.

Thank God that He had sought me. At college a schoolmate gave me a booklet, ‘The Eternal Peace of Mind’, affixed to the Christmas card. On that lonely Silent Night, I tried to read the book. It mentioned about heaven and hell. I confessed my sins to God. I wanted to turn away from all evil and get the salvation of God lest I should go to the horrible hell in the future.

My Christian schoolmate also asked me to join gospel meetings. I then understood why Jesus came from heaven to become a man and die for us on the cross. He endured a lot of sufferings. He was whipped, nailed and He bled for us. In the meetings, I came to know that in this world there was God, who loved me so much. He loved me and gave His life for me. He made me recognize the meaning and value of my life. On that day I accepted God as my saviour. He helped me in repairing my relationship with the family and loving them. God had found me and brought me to His family. I craved for God’s home because brothers and sisters loved each other. God also encouraged me to help people in different places.

After the Szechuan earthquake, I went twice with the church volunteer group to visit the victims, distributing rice and oil and preaching the gospel to them.

For one and a half years, I went to Toronto in Canada to preach the gospel and teach English and Mathematics to the children of the new immigrants

In 2021, I immigrated to UK with my husband and daughter to a new and unfamiliar environment. I gave thanks to God that I got earnest support from the brothers and sisters in the church. With their help, we could proceed smoothly in house renting, car purchase and other arrangements so that we could quickly adapt to the life here.

God’s home is really full of love. I hope all of us can know and experience our Lord Jesus, who loves us so much.
