Northampton Story

We Stand for Lives Changed by Christ

A sister’s mother, a new believer in God and a resident in Northampton, once prayed to God, “How much I wish to have a meeting place for brothers and sisters in Northampton.” In 1985, a family from London moved to Northampton and started the service meetings. In August of the same year, the brothers and sisters from the London church came to help and held the first gospel meeting at Parish Hall. The next year, the brother-in-law of this family, together with his family of four, moved from Devon to Northampton to start the church here.

As the family members, friends and colleagues of the brothers and sisters believed in God one after the other and, in addition, their kids have also grown up and got baptized, the number in the church has been increasing gradually. In 2006, Bellinge community centre was rented for meetings. But following the migration of brothers and sisters for further studies, work and emigration overseas, now the backbone members are formed by a few local families.

For many years, many brothers and sisters from London, Birmingham, Hong Kong and the US came to visit and give support to the Northampton church. In July 2019, the brothers and sisters from London church, made every effort to come every weekend to Northampton to have meeting with us and we rented a new venue in October. We thank God for His guarding and blessings for the Northampton church for more than twenty years.
